What you'll need

Base coat, selected gel colors, cat-eye magnet, detail tools for the listed accents, glossy top coat, curing lamp and standard nail-prep tools.

Step by step

1. Prep, cleanse and shape all nails into short squares.
2. Apply base coat and cure, followed by a thin nude or pink foundation.
3. Apply pink cat-eye gel to one nail at a time.
4. Change the magnet angle from nail to nail to create diagonal, centered and halo-style highlights.
5. Cure immediately after achieving each magnetic pattern so it does not shift.
6. Add minimal detail accents if desired, then finish with glossy top coat.
