Colors: rose-pink cat-eye gel, nude base, white marble gel
Details: gold foil, fine liner, crystals
Difficulty: Intermediate–Advanced
Estimated time: 65–85 minutes
What you'll need
Prep tools, base coat, nude foundation gel, pink magnetic cat-eye gel and magnet, gold foil, fine liner, crystals, glossy top coat and curing lamp.
Step by step: pink cat-eye marble with gold foil
- Prepare a smooth base. Clean and shape the nails, gently remove surface shine as appropriate, remove dust, then apply and fully cure the base coat according to the product instructions.
- Create the rose-pink foundation. Apply a thin, even nude-pink layer to the accent nails. Cure it before starting the magnetic design so the marble details stay controlled.
- Shape the cat-eye reflection. Brush on a thin layer of rose-pink magnetic gel. Before curing, hold the magnet close to the sides to draw shimmer toward the center, then adjust the reflective band until it looks soft rather than harsh. Cure each nail after positioning the pigment.
- Paint translucent marble wisps. On the marble accent nails, use a fine liner to draw a few uneven white curves through a thin layer of clear or pale-pink gel. Gently blur selected edges; leave negative space so the pink underneath remains visible. Cure when the veining looks natural.
- Place small pieces of gold foil. Apply a small amount of suitable foil adhesive or uncured compatible gel only where you want accents, typically beside the marble veins. Lay tiny, irregular foil fragments along the curves and secure them following the product instructions. Avoid covering the brightest magnetic stripe.
- Refine and protect the finish. Add any small crystal accents only if they are part of your chosen variation, using an appropriate nail-art adhesive. Smooth raised foil edges, apply compatible glossy top coat, cap the free edge, and fully cure.
How this look differs from other pink cat-eye designs
The defining detail here is broken gold foil tucked beside cloudy marble veining. A gold-swirl design uses painted metallic lines instead, while a pearl-and-crystal variation relies on raised embellishments. Keep the foil sparse so the magnetic pink shimmer remains the focus.
Tips for a cleaner result
Work with thin layers, cure according to your gel manufacturer's directions, and avoid placing foil across the entire nail. If the foil edges feel raised, smooth and seal them before the final cure. Never allow uncured gel to touch skin.
Magnetic placement changes with magnet strength and pigment. Exact polish numbers can be matched to Kevin T Nails inventory separately.
